Description
During a press conference in Berlin, Economy Minister Robert Habeck says the German government has slashed its 2024 growth forecast, saying it will contract for a second straight year before a recovery gets under way in 2025.
Output in Europe's largest economy is expected to shrink by 0.2 percent in 2024, a sharp downgrade from the 0.3-percent expansion previously forecast.
Le ministre de l'Economie Robert Habeck annonce lors d'une conférence de presse que le gouvernement allemand a sabré ses prévisions de croissance économique pour l'année, prévoyant désormais une récession. Berlin table sur un recul du Produit intérieur brut (PIB) de 0,2% cette année, contre une hausse de 0,3% auparavant.
