A Donald Trump victory in next month's US presidential election could "further intensify" problems for the German car industry, warns Economy Minister Robert Habeck. Trump has said he plans to levy tariffs on all foreign imports, including cars. Speaking during a press conference in Berlin, as the German government slashes its 2024 economic forecast, Habeck says "it is also challenging to see that the open American market is closing."
