Voting in Mozambique's presidential and parliamentary elections was mostly conducted in an "orderly" and "peaceful" manner, the head of the European Union observation mission into the Southern African nation's poll this week says. "The campaign was peaceful with orderly voting in the context of public distrust and tainted credibility of the electoral process," says Laura Ballarin, Chief Observer, EU Election Observation Mission in Mozambique 2024, at a press conference in the capital Maputo.
