A Russian court sentences French researcher Laurent Vinatier to three years in a penal colony for breaking a "foreign agent" law. "The court recognises Vinatier, Laurent Jean-Louis, guilty of committing an offence under Part three of Article 331" says a judge in a Moscow court.
Laurent Vinatier, who works for a Swiss conflict mediation NGO, was arrested in Moscow in June and charged with collecting information on Russia's military without being registered as a "foreign agent". IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
