The former Soviet republic Moldova, lying between war-torn Ukraine and EU member Romania, once relied on Russia to export its fruits but a recent shift is changing the rules of the game. "With the embargoes from Russia we have had to find new markets," explains Iurie Fala, executive director of Moldova Fruct.
