T-shirt designers, sculptors, graffiti artists ... in Marseille, creatives are reclaiming the image of the rat, a common sight for residents, and turning it into an unexpected symbol of the city. 'The rats here think they're big dogs,' says local sculptor Alain Paris. 'When there's a rat in the street, people freak out and get scared, which is why the rat, for me, is a bit of a character.'
