Alexei Navalny is being remembered by neighbors and visitors at his grave ahead of the release of his memoir, Patriot, which he wrote during the final years of his life. The memoir, set to be released on October 22, was announced by his widow, Yulia Navalnaya. Navalny began working on the book in 2020 after surviving a nerve agent poisoning, with much of it written while he was in Germany. He continued writing even from prison, and the memoir includes previously unpublished correspondence from that time. Yulia Navalnaya collaborated with the publisher to edit the manuscript, which details Navalny's youth, political career, marriage, family, assassination attempts, and attacks on his loved ones.
