Panama President Jose Raul Mulino vowed to freeze European investment projects in the Central American country if the European Union does not take Panama off its list of tax havens : "If we remain on that list, Panama will not allow any country that keeps us on the list to participate in the projects or in the international tenders that we have from next year onwards, it is as simple as that". In an interview with select media, Mulino discussed the country’s hopes for the future, its ties with the US, the problems of neighboring Venezuela and his recent meeting with President Macron.
