Protesters rally outside a Paris court on the first day of French actor Gerard Depardieu's trial on sexual assault charges. "I'd like to hail all the victims who dared to speak out against this monster who is supposedly the pride of France," says one protester. After opening in his absence, the trial was suspended until March 2025. His lawyer had said earlier that Depardieu, 75, was "extremely affected" by ill health, and had asked for proceedings to be delayed until he could attend in person.
