Description
China's only woman spaceflight engineer, 34-year-old Wang Haoze, says she wants to "travel in the deep space and wave at the stars", as she prepares to join the Shenzhou-19 mission. The mission is expected to launch in the early hours of Wednesday morning local time, and will be led by 48-year-old Cai Xuzhe, with 34-year-old Song Lingdong completing the astronaut line-up.
The launch will mark the latest development in China's growing space programme, which is aiming to send astronauts to the Moon by 2030 with an eye towards the construction of a lunar base. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
