'Over time, it's sad to see things deteriorate like this,' says a young man in France's western city of Poitiers after police were called out on Thursday night in response to a shooting, an apparent case of drug-related violence, in which a 15-year-old was gravely wounded. Speaking at the scene of the incident, Sacha Houlie, MP for the region, called for several measures, including raids on drug-dealing areas, to be implemented in a bid to fight gang violence.
