Thousands gather for the annual Day of the Dead parade on Mexico City's Reforma Avenue. The parade has only taken place since 2016, after the 2015 release of the James Bond film Spectre, which features a Day of the Dead parade in the opening scene. Typically, families mark the festival at home or in cemeteries, where, according to popular belief, they welcome the souls of their deceased loved ones.
