Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will visit China and meet leader Xi Jinping this week.
"China is ready to work with Indonesia to take this visit as an opportunity to consolidate high-level political mutual trust," the foreign ministry's Mao Ning says at a regular briefing.
Mao Ning also added that China had invited Myanmar's embattled junta in the southwestern city of Kunming for a summit of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) -- a group including China, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
