Description
In the Asheville region, North Carolina, five weeks after Hurricane Helene tore through the area, the impact of the storm still reverberates as residents navigate both recovery and the presidential election. People here have a lot on their minds, but many made it a priority to cast their votes. Residents vote at a remote temporary polling station, set up in a tent since the fire station was occupied by disaster recovery crews. 'This election is foundational for the future of our democracy' says a Asheville resident. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
