Description
The first batch of conscripts under Taiwan's recent 1-year mandatory military service training program conducted a live-fire test on Wednesday morning, firing Kestrel rockets from rocket launchers at a military test centre in Tainan. This live fire is a test for the conscripts following weeks of training.
This year, Taiwan extended its conscription program from four months to one year in response to rising cross-strait tensions, strengthening their mandatory military program with more live-fire exercises and combat operations training. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
