Meeting four times a week in a school gym in Nuuk, the Greenlandic capital, Fight Club Nanoq is one of several initiatives to get youths into sports as a way of providing structure, community and good health, both physical and mental. Greenland has one of world's highest suicide rates, with 39 reported in 2023, according to police. That's almost 68 per 100,000 people, far above the WHO's global average of nine.
