Former main opposition leader Stefanos Kasselakis launched a new "popular progressive" movement on Saturday, claiming it would fill a major gap in Greece's politics and remain financially independent. The movement's name will be decided by a members' vote. Meanwhile, Syriza, Greece's fractious main opposition party, saw new defections during an emergency congress ahead of electing a new leader to replace Kasselakis, who faces accusations of authoritarianism.
