Description
When war erupted in Gaza, Palestinian artists had only one way to share their work expressing the harrowing reality of the conflict: having it smuggled out of the besieged territory. In the Jordanian capital Amman, Darat al-Funun art gallery is exhibiting pieces that were smuggled out in a show entitled 'Under Fire'. "The works express as much resistance and resilience as they do sadness, martyrdom and the daily suffering that people experience under war in the Gaza Strip," says Mohammed Shaqdih, deputy director of Darat al-Funun.
