Description
On the eve of a visit to Tehran, Rafael Grossi, head of the UN's nuclear watchdog, says the Iran nuclear deal is an "empty shell" and calls on the country to provide his agency with "more visibility" given the "size, depth and ambition of Iran's programme." In an exclusive interview given to AFP at the COP29 climate summit in Azerbaijan, Grossi also speaks of a "positive start" in the dialogue on prospectively applying climate financing to nuclear energy, mentioning several African and Eastern European nations allegedly interested in the arrangement.
