Description
Heavy rains have caused floods in the Spanish city of Malaga, which has been placed on a red alert according to the National weather office AEMET. "It hasn't been exaggerated at all," says Ida Maria Ledesma Martin, a 39-year-old social educator who says police have warned residents that morning. According to emergency services in the southern Andalusia region, more than 1,000 homes and almost 3,000 residents have been evacuated in and around the city of Malaga. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
