Description
"There are some who are disgusted, who feel contempt for the behaviour of the men who committed the violence." Since the start of the mass rape trial in Mazan, southereastern France, the online platform set up by Noëlla Bugni-Dubois has received hundreds of messages from men reacting to the case and its repercussions. More than a court case, Gisele Pelicot's story has become a social debate on violence against women and relationships of domination. "There's something that was repeated often during the trial, which stuck with me: that shame must change sides," explains Samy, himself a perpetrator of sexual violence who is testifying anonymously. "Men must seize upon this shame and guilt to take action," he says. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES ARRANGED IN SEQUENCES N°36MG4B2
