Description
Sri Lanka's leftist National People's Power (NPP) coalition led by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake holds a press conference after a landslide victory in snap parliamentary elections. Tilvin Silva, general secretary of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) party and founding member of the NPP, says that the coalition is aiming to implement their manifesto, which includes "crafting a new constitution" and "granting rights to different ethnic groups," among other things. "We are essentially committed to delivering on those promises", Silva adds in Colombo. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
