Description
Sikh pilgrims, including many from India, visit the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in the Pakistani town of Kartarpur, close to the border between the South Asian giants. The pilgrims are visiting the Gurdwara, one of the holiest Sikh sites, to celebrate the anniversary of the birth of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak. Last month Pakistan and India agreed to extend the visa-free Kartarpur religious corridor for five years. The corridor, which was established in 2019, allows Indian Sikhs to visit the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib without a visa. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
