Laurence Fournier runs a family farm southeast of Paris, in the Seine-et-Marne region. Like many French farmers, she protested in early 2024 to highlight the difficulties facing the sector. She is now particularly angry about imports from countries such as Ukraine and Brazil, and believes that an agreement with Mercosur would mean 'selling out' farmers 'for the benefit of other French economies', such as cars.
