Description
The Russian ruble reaches its lowest level against the US dollar since March 24, 2022, according to official figures from the Central Bank of Russia (BCR). The fall came the day after Russia fired a hypersonic missile on Ukraine and Washington sanctioned a key Russian bank. The Russian currency, which has been highly volatile over the past three years, was officially trading at 102.58 rubles against the greenback, according to the rate set by the BCR, above the symbolic threshold of 100. Before the conflict, the dollar was trading at an average of 1 for 75-80 rubles in early 2022. IMAGES
