"It [Israel] has killed an unprecedented number of women, while causing life-changing injuries to hundreds of thousands," says the Palestinian minister for women's affairs Mona Khalili, addressing foreign diplomats during a press conference in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah. "We acknowledge the role of your countries, the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Convention, in holding accountable those responsible for these crimes, preventing them from enjoying impunity," Khalili adds, referring to arrest warrants issued days earlier by the International Criminal Court against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former defence minister Yoav Gallant and Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif on charges of crimes against humanity and war crimes in the Gaza conflict.
