"Political time no longer corresponds to agricultural time, where we have guys calling us regularly, ready to hang themselves. We can't wait like this anymore," says a member of a farmer's union as, on Tuesday evening, at least 150 tractors arrived in Montauban, near Toulouse, and dumped rubbish in front of local government offices in ongoing protests over pay, conditions and a prospective EU-Latin America trade deal.
