Chinese authorities dismiss media reports that defence minister Dong Jun is under investigation for corruption as "pure fabrications".
"The rumour-mongers are ill-intentioned. China expresses its strong dissatisfaction with such slanderous behaviour," Wu Qian, a spokesperson for Beijing's defence ministry, tells reporters. SOUNDBITE
