Description
Serbia is the target of an ‘attempted hybrid attack’, says Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, rejecting any Serbian involvement in an explosion on Friday that damaged a water canal crucial to Kosovo's energy system. The strike, which occurred near the town of Zubin Potok in Kosovo's volatile north, damaged a canal supplying water to hundreds of thousands of people and cooling systems at two coal-fired power plants that generate most of Kosovo's electricity. The Kosovo government accused Serbia of ‘orchestrating’ this ‘terrorist attack’, but Vucic on Sunday denied that Belgrade had masterminded the strike, saying Kosovo itself had mounted a "hybrid attack" against his country.
