Syrian Kurds demonstrate in the northeastern city of Qamishli against attacks by Turkish-backed Syrian rebels on areas under Kurdish control in northern Syria. Parallel to the Islamist Hayat Tahrir al-Sham-led offensive on Aleppo, pro-Turkey factions in northern Syria attacked Kurdish fighters in Aleppo province, with the Observatory saying they seized the strategic town of Tal Rifaat and nearby villages.
