Description
Lawyers representing Dominique Pelicot's 50 co-defendants in the Mazan rape trial continue this week. The vast majority of them claim their clients have been ‘manipulated’ and are asking for reductions in their sentences. Emile-Henri Biscarrat, the lawyer for Dominique D., who is accused of having come to Mazan on several occasions to rape Gisèle Pelicot, believes that "at the very least, a sentence of half as much already seems to me to be consistent with what is being practised". The prosecution has asked for one of the heaviest sentences, 17 years' imprisonment.
