Description
Staff at the UK's Guardian newspaper strike for the first time in more than 50 years over the proposed sale of its weekend sister paper The Observer. The Observer is the oldest Sunday newspaper in the world and has been part of the Guardian Media Group Limited in 1993. The proposed sale would see ownership transfer to Tortoise Media, a British news website which primarily produces podcasts and holds live discussion events. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
