Description
Speaking at a press conference near Stockholm ahead of the Nobel Prize ceremony, this year's Medicine laureates, US scientists Gary Ruvkun and Victor Ambros, are "worried" for the field of research as the new Trump administration is being put together. "It's very worrisome that amateurs are going to be in charge of these things in the US", says Ruvkun. The US duo won the medicine prize for their discovery of microRNA, a previously unknown type of genetic switch that could pave the way for new medical breakthroughs. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
