Description
Activists react to Poland's first queer museum opening in Warsaw, a landmark moment for the country's LGBTQ community. Tucked between a kebab and second-hand clothes shops, the Queer Museum hosts almost 150 artefacts offering a timeline of Poland's LGBTQ movement's struggle for recognition. The institution was established by a nonprofit rights group Lambda and is the first of a kind "in all of post-communist Europe", its director Krzysztof Kliszczynski says, adding he was "overjoyed" to see it coming to life.
