Description
Residents of the Druze Arab hometown of Majdal Shams celebrate the fall of President Bashar Al-Assad's government on the Israel-occupied Golan Heights, as Israeli military tanks take positions along the border. Most of Majdal Shams's around 11,000 residents still identify as Syrian more than half a century after Israel seized the Golan Heights from Syria and later annexed it in a move not recognised by the international community.
"The time has come for the pressure on Iran to continue and for the local groups, both in Syria and Lebanon, to free themselves from this Iranian weight," says former Israeli war cabinet member Benny Gantz. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
