Description
AFPTV refiles some of its most notable stories of 2024. Scientists studying glaciers and icebergs on the Antarctic Peninsula are concerned as sea ice levels in that region have registered historic lows for three consecutive years, portending grave consequences for life on Earth as we know it. But looking out over the southernmost continent, scientist Miguel Angel de Pablo laments that humanity seems to be oblivious to the warnings. "It seems we are not listened to, that we are (perceived as) alarmist," says Miguel Angel de Pablo, Professor at the Geology Unit of University of Alcala in Madrid. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
