Description
In the Mozambique capital Maputo, small scale importers feel the pinch after weeks of election-related protests continue to disrupt a vital trade route with the country's neighbour, South Africa. Imports have stagnated, delaying deliveries and forcing many traders to throw out their produce that has started to "rot". "It's chaos and people have to eat," says importer Abilio Marima. Post-election unrest has rocked the South African nation after the ruling Frelimo party, in power since 1975, declared victory in a disputed poll. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
