Thousands of protesters gather in Tbilisi, the Georgian capital, for the 16th day straight, with the government on Saturday set to appoint a far-right loyalist as the Causasian nation's new president in a controversial election process. Pro-Western incumbent Salome Zurabishvili has refused to step down and is demanding new parliamentary elections following a contested October vote in which the Georgian Dream party claimed victory.
