The meeting between the presidents of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda scheduled for Sunday in Luanda has been cancelled, dashing hopes of an immediate agreement to restore peace to the strife-torn east of the DRC over the past 30 years. Tete António, Angola's Foreign Minister, claims that the various parties “did not reach a convergence of views on all aspects” during the latest negotiations, which took place earlier in the weekend.
