Scientists at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium inseminate endangered leopard shark with wild shark semen, as part of conservation efforts to bolster the sharks' numbers and increase genetic diversity.
The procedure is one part of a larger worldwide leopard shark breeding programme, known as StAR, that involves more than 60 conservation groups, aquariums and government agencies. IMAGES
