Beijing reacts to a Pentagon's report, saying that corruption in China's military has led to the removal of top leaders and may hamper the country's efforts to modernize its armed forces.
"It is just an excuse for maintaining its [United States'] own military hegemony," foreign ministry spokesman Lin Jian says at a regular news briefing.
