"We have been stolen from Greenland," says Kalanguak Absalonsen, who was adopted at the age of four by Danes, who christened her Karen. It took the 53-year-old almost half a century to discover her roots and find out the adoption had been carried out under unclear circumstances. Along with other Greenland-born people with similar stories, Absalonsen is now seeking compensation from Denmark. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
