Iran says it has "no direct contact" with Syria's new rulers after the fall of president Bashar al-Assad, a longtime Tehran ally. "We have no direct contact with the ruling authority in Syria," says foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei at a weekly press briefing. SOUNDBITE
