Description
AFP returns to areas of Thailand worst-hit by the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, 20 years later. A once-flattened shoreline on the popular tourist island of Phi Phi is now lined with longtail boats and fast food restaurants. On nearby Phuket island, tourists meander along a busy street on Patong beach that was piled high with washed-up vehicles and debris after the disaster. IMAGES
