Archeologists work at an excavation site containing the remains of a Byzantine monastery which was uncovered by Israel Antiquities Authority north of the city of Qiryat Gat. The Antiquities Authority said the excavation revealed the remains of at least ten buildings, including the monastery, a winepress and a large warehouse building, adding that the monastery is part of an ancient site that already existed during the Roman period and continued for approximately 600 years.
