As tensions mount in Venezuela ahead of President Nicolas Maduro's swearing-in ceremony, Panamanian President Jose Raul Mulino welcomes exiled opposition figure Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia to the country's capital. "I hope this journey will be a wake-up call to the democratic world, a wake-up call for the freedom of Venezuela," says Mulino during a press conference at the presidential palace following a meeting with Gonzalez Urrutia. Gonzalez Urrutia, vowing to return home to claim the presidency he insists he won in elections last July, has called on his supporters to turn out in the millions ahead of the investiture ceremony.
