Japan's weakening currency has made it a top destination on travelers' bucket lists, an expert says, as the country is set to release its latest annual tourism data.
"At the moment Japan is like on a 30% off sale, so it's very cheap for a lot of people to come", says Naomi Mano, the president of Tokyo-based tour company Luxurique.
Japan recorded a million more foreign visitors in the first half of 2024 compared to pre-pandemic levels, and is expecting to see a new record when official figures are released on January 15. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
