Over 130 guitars, amps and other "tools of the trade" used by Jeff Beck throughout his nearly six-decade career go on display at London's Christie's auction house, ahead of their sale later in January. Led by one of Beck's most recognisable instruments, the iconic 1954 'Oxblood' Gibson Les Paul, the sale has estimates ranging from 100,000 to 500,000 pounds. "Jeff Beck was the ultimate guitarists' guitarist," says Christie's head of private and iconic collections Amelia Walker, "he was revered by many as the as one of the greatest rock guitarists ever."
