Description
Senegalese civilians employed by the French army meet to express concern and demand good conditions of dismissal, as France's military presence in the country is set to end. Senegal's President Bassirou Dioumaye Faye announced in a speech marking the new year that 2025 would see an end to all foreign military presence in the west African country. "After 20 years of working for the army, having to stop overnight is not a good feeling for us," says Séraphine Dzah, an employee of the base for two decades. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
