Palestinians in the streets of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank, distribute sweets in celebration of the Gaza truce. "After fifteen months of destruction, killing, genocide, and unprecedented crimes, the resistance stands tall, raising its head, and raising the head of the entire Palestinian people", says Omar Assaf, a Ramallah resident. Qatar and the United States announced Wednesday a ceasefire and hostage-release deal between Israel and Hamas, adding they hoped it would pave the way for a permanent end to the war in Gaza.
